International Institute of Minnesota

St. Paul, MN

The International Institute of Minnesota delivers services and resources to assist New Americans in the transition to a new life leading to economic self-sufficiency. The Institute offers New Americans a pathway for a strong start to a new life in our community and offers services from language learning and job training to citizenship classes and the celebration of cultural traditions.

The IIMN project scope includes the renovation of the existing 21,000 sqft building and a 17,000 sqft building addition for more and better quality classroom space, conference and meeting room space, and additional office space to enhance the services and classes the Institute provides.

The addition includes six conference and meeting spaces and ten new classrooms and labs for english language training, college readiness programs, hospitality careers, and medical careers pathways. The renovated areas of the building will provide services for refugees and other New Americans. These include refugee resettlement offices, community orientation workshops space, housing services offices, refugee employment services, and citizenship assistance.
